February 2024 Recap

February was an eventful month for the Caldwell Fellows - Read more about how our February went.

Caldwell Fellow Alumni gathering for their orientation on reviewing Finalist during Selection Day.

February was jam-packed for the Caldwell Fellows with a variety of events for the current fellows and alumni. We started the month with our Semi-Finalist Day on February 3rd, 2024 at SAS Hall with over 90 semi-finalists, 12 alumni, six seniors, and our educational staff. We are so grateful for everyone who participated in our selection process whether they were interviewing to be in the program or facilitating the sessions.

On February 24th several events took place across campus facilitated by the Caldwell Fellows Program. At Hunt Library, our Selection Day included 60 student finalists and over 100 reviewers comprised of alumni and friends of the program. It was a day full of interviews that resulted in the newly announced Caldwell Fellows Class of 2027.

At Park Alumni Center, we created an environment for fruitful conversations among alumni and our current fellows around the theme of “Creating a Life of Meaning.” The event was facilitated by Class of ‘08 alum Cary Strickland. He led small group discussions about what constitutes a life of meaning, and how our vocations can help fill that role.

Later in the evening, current fellows, alumni, and friends met at the North Carolina Museum of Art for a night of dancing, food, and bonding. We are so grateful for all of our alumni who traveled all over the world to join us for our special weekend. Selection Day would not be possible without them.
