NC State’s effort to raise money for Habitat for Humanity of Wake County was a great success going many $1000’s over the goal of $37,500. The Caldwell Fellows team contributed over $5800.00 of that coming in third place. For over 15 years Shack-a-thon has been an annual tradition with the Caldwell Fellows and earning a spot in the top third of fundraisers over all. This year the fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity of Wake County took over over the NC State brickyard from September 21-27. Current Caldwell students, families and alumni helped construct the Caldwell shack on Sunday, September 21 and Fellows lived in it all week selling raffle tickets and raising awareness about the need for safe homes for Wake County residents. Thanks to all who contributed money, time, skill and energy to promote this great cause!
The Junior Class (Caldwell class of 2016) reconnected for a September weekend at Aqueduct Retreat Center. There was time for work on personal statements and resumes and reviewing strengths and goals, and time for enjoying musical talents of current Caldwell and visiting alumni, who came to share not only their experiences since graduating, but some tunes as well!
